Rick is a Senior Manager with Abakhan & Associates Inc. He has been a Certified Management Accountant since 2004, with over ten years of commercial insolvency experience. Rick’s previous business experience includes tenure as a Controller and Senior Financial Manager, primarily in the real estate and agriculture industries.

His commercial insolvency experience includes a wide range of engagements including private and Court appointed receiverships, bankruptcies and proposals. Rick has worked on numerous commercial restructuring projects, and has acted extensively on a major reorganization under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act involving a large real estate developer with projects in Canada and the United States. Rick has managed numerous insolvency engagements in a variety of industries, including agriculture, real estate, forestry, hospitality, service, manufacturing, transportation and technology.

Rick’s insolvency experience, professional background and business acumen have proven to be invaluable to both secured lenders and business owners in assessing critical issues and finding meaningful, creative and timely solutions.
