Philip McCourt joined Abakhan & Associates in the Fall of 2001, coming to us from a top national accounting firm, where he specialized in the area of insolvency and business restructuring from 1983 to 2000.  Before entering public practice, he was involved in the financial management of a retail and manufacturing enterprise.

Philip's primary focus is in corporate insolvencies, including receiver-manager, trustee/interim receiver in proposals, agent, monitor, assessments, consultant and forensic accounting.  As well, he has extensive experience in personal bankruptcies and personal proposals.

Philip is an integral part of the Abakhan team in his role as Senior Vice-President, providing his expert advise to our professional staff in all areas of our insolvency and consulting practice.
